In a partnership with Public Safety Corporation, Little Rock, Ark., is working on a plan to reduce false alarm calls.
The city receives more than 35,000 alarm calls from businesses and residences each year according to a news article. 95 percent of those alarm calls are false alarms leading to a waste of resources and time spent responding by officers on duty.
“We’ve said all along that our top priority is not to make money regarding false alarms,” said Treasury Manager Scott Massanelli in a news article. “It’s to further reduce alarm incidents.”
